Task:
I was tasked with developing the branding system for a premium airline startup and designing a comprehensive visual identity for the company.
Problem to solve:
There is a lack of modern, high-tech, mid-to-high level luxury airlines in the market. Guests—whether flying for business or leisure—want to travel comfortably, with all of the technological conveniences they are used to on the ground.
Inspiration:
Most luxury airlines do not have the modern, high-tech, clean brand design that was desired for this brand—so I pulled inspiration from many different sources, from timeless classics such as the NASA worm logo to that of the of the ground- breaking innovative company Tesla. Included among these are also, of course, many airline brands such as American, British, and Lufthansa.
Meaning behind Aura Air:
Aura Air focuses on the entire flight experience. Their goal is to create a seamless, easy, and advanced journey for their guests from airport to airport. They want the flight experience to not just be bearable, but enjoyable. The word Aura is defined as “a distinctive atmosphere surrounding a given source”, (Merriam- Webster) or “a special quality or feeling that seems to come from a person, place, or thing.” (Britannica) Aura Air brings that special atmosphere to new heights.
